MCA's Code of Marketing Practice

The MCA Code governs the relationship between the product supplier, the healthcare professional and the end user.

Code Enforcement

Through their voluntary participation, our members are committed to ensuring that their products are marketed to healthcare practitioners, patients and consumers in an ethical manner.

We enforce the Code and adjudicate on complaints. Any party can lodge a complaint against one of our member companies and action will be taken.

The MCA’s Code of Marketing Practice provides ethical guidance on the promotion, to both health care professionals and consumers, of medicines, medical devices and IVDs (In-Vitro Diagnostics). Guidelines support Code interpretation and application.
